Clean Glass Burning Wood :- Essential this is very simple Fireview Wildwood & the Enigma Range of Stoves with air wash, will stay almost immaculately clean even on overnight long period shut downs.
I Have a piece of glass I show customers that was used in our show room stove that was not touched cleaned wiped in any way for over 4 years. It is Possible!
Every time fuel is added to the stove the fuel load must be raised to operating temperature, ie burnt hard untill the wood fuel is well established. If when you return to the stove after a period of slumber, the glass hass tar or creosote on the glass the stove is talking to you - "I was not hot enough when I was closed down, and or the fuel wood is not sufficiently seasoned. Remedy get the fuel load hotter, and or burn dryer wood.
Burning wet or full seasoned wood is lunacy itself!!
Wet fuel wood will mean you are going to burn much more fuel than the same fuel well seasoned.
The UK Seems to be the only country in the world that wood is not understood, We have all seen log piles in film or in real life corded up covered and drying. Two three or four years, in fact the longer the better for seasoning the fuel is needed. Most log suppliers do not understand this either so do not rely on the supplier saying its well seasoned, ask how long it has be logged and chopped and under cover in a dry airy place.!!!
