The Firebird and Firefly Stoves The Original Woodwarm stove, inspired from seeing the Jotul No. 6 in log cabins in Norway. The Firebird is a large round appliance burning wood only, and has the honour of being the first woodstove in the United Kingdom to support a boiler (41,000 Btu's). This stove was so popular that a smaller version was made within 12 months - the Firefly approximately 2/3rds the size and capable of supporting a boiler(27,000 Btu's) and multi-fuel with riddling grate and ashpan. Both these units are still available today. (their inspiration ceased being made in the early 80's).
All the Firebird, Firefly, and Firecrest Stoves feature these beautiful oak leaf motif heavy cast doors.
The Firecrest The Woodwarm Firecrest was a logical development of the Firebird and Firefly and is unusual as it is designed for the centre, or between two rooms, installations being completely round with a centre flue. Both models have 4 doors - 2 opening on each side. The larger model (No.5L) based on the Firebird, and the smaller No 5S (pictured opposite) based on the Firefly. They can both be manufactured as multi-fuel.
